The four guardians are all dragons born with different elements. The four guardians main job was to make sure all the eggs hatched inluding Spyro but were attacked a weren't sucessful. That night at the raid all the guardians except Ignitus escaped. Let's start off with Ignitus the first guardian you meet. Ignitus is a fire dragon that is every powerful and was trained in the ancient ways. Ignitus realizes that meeting Spyro for the first time out of his egg had given him hope again that they'd be able to defeat Cynder and take back what rightfully belonged to them. Ignitus tells Spyro that a guardian was being held in Dates Frezzer. That guardian is Volteer the guardian of lightning. Volteer is a fast talking dragon and gets tongue tied a lot and sometimes you can't understand what he is saying. After Volteer teachs you a few things on how to use your electric breath Ignitus sends you to a place called Tall Plians where another guardian is being held. That's when you meet Cyril the guardian of ice. Cyril is an ice dragon and knows that duty calls and you can't deny your destiny until your destiny is fulfilled. Cyril has a way with words that he'd be able to convice anyone to help out. Back at the temple where the other two are waiting, a reunion sort of starts between Cyril and Volteer, then Ignitus had to end it because they were missing one more guardian. Cyril teachs Spyro how to use the ice breathe that he'd discovered while in tall plains. Then the three guardians to free the last guardian. That guardian is Terrador the guardian of earth. Terrador is a strong type of dragon that is as hard as a dragon that has seen war but he is caring when the circumstances are nessary.
The Chronicler is a very old dragon that shows up in the legend of Spyro the enternal night which is number two in the game series. He lives in the Celesteal Caves. He has a library that is full of books, almost all of dragon history is in there. We learn that evry time a dragon is born that dragon gets his/her own book that tells the story of their life, and everything that happens to that dragon until they die. Yes, their is also a book that when a dragon dies their name is writen in that book. The Chronicler has been in those caves for many millinea, watch stories unfold and as the dark master gets stronger. My favorite part is probably right when Spyro and Sparx walk in and Sparx thinks that when The Chronicler first says something Sparx thought that the giant hourglass said it.
